A: to mess with the readership, basically. It's essentially a joke about the unaesthetic aesthetic of the website.

Q: Why "qxlkbh"? Why six letters? Why not just four, like xkcd?

A: Well, you see, back in the day, the unicode standard was smaller, so individual characters were more valuable. But now the supply has increased (while demand has remained constant), so for a title to be worth the same amount, it must have more characters in it. Hence six characters.
